Banned Firecrackers Found in Siliguri, One Arrested

Siliguri: Before Diwali, Ashighar Police Station had a big success by finding banned firecrackers. Acting on secret information, Siliguri Police’s Ashighar Outpost raided a house in Purba Hatiadanga, Dabgram Zone 2, on Sunday night and found many illegal firecrackers. Police first detained and then arrested a man there, named Subodh Adhikari. The estimated value of the seized firecrackers is about 40,000 to 50,000 INR. Today, he was brought to Jalpaiguri court. Police are now investigating where he got these banned firecrackers.
