"ABVP Protest in Siliguri: Calls for Chief Minister to Resign and Action on RG Kar Incident"

The RG Kar incident has sparked nationwide protests. On Wednesday, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) held a protest march in Siliguri, demanding the immediate execution of those responsible and the resignation of the Chief Minister.

The march started from East Bengal Road near Kanchanjunga Stadium, went through Hospital More, Hashmi Chowk, and Hill Cart Road, and ended at the Sub-Divisional Officer's (SDO) office. Police were deployed to manage the crowd and stop the procession.

At the SDO office, ABVP activists burned an effigy of the Chief Minister, leading to a clash with the police. Following the confrontation, a five-member ABVP delegation went into the SDO office to submit a memorandum with their demands.
