"Bangladeshi Man Arrested in India After Two Years"

On Friday night, the Islamapur police arrested a Bangladeshi national from the Ramganj area of Islamapur police station. The accused, Osman Gani, hails from Thakurgaon district in Bangladesh. The accused claims he came to India nearly two years ago for work and was employed in Kashmir. He was trying to return to Bangladesh with the help of a broker, paying 15,000 rupees. Ultimately, the Islamapur police arrested the Bangladeshi national. On Saturday, the police sent the accused to the Islamapur sub-divisional court.

Questions are being raised about how the Bangladeshi national managed to stay in India for the past two years. He worked in Kashmir and there are many questions about how he crossed the border from Bangladesh into India.
