"Four Arrested with 1200 Grams of Heroin in Lalgola; Court Proceedings to Begin"

A large quantity of heroin, 1200 grams, was seized along with four young men at an orchard on Station Road in Krishnaipur, Lalgola. According to police sources, the police received a tip-off about the heroin being smuggled by four youths who would arrive at the orchard. Acting on this information, the police awaited their arrival and around 1:30 AM, the four youths arrived. Their suspicious behavior prompted the police to surround them and question them about their activities that night. When searched, 1200 grams of heroin was found in four packets on the four individuals. The suspects were identified as Suman Sheikh (22), Adud Sheikh (19), Israfel Sheikh (20), and Sabir Ahmed (26), all from the Dewansarai area of Lalgola. They have been arrested and are set to be presented in the Baharampur NDPS Court on Monday. SDPO Dr. Uttam Gorai mentioned that they will seek a 10-day remand for the suspects at the Baharampur District Court.
