In Siliguri, a person died early Wednesday morning after being hit by a train near the Phansidewa More under the 2nd Asian Highway flyover. The body was badly damaged, making identification difficult. The victim, estimated to be around 50 years old, was struck by the 07520 DMU train heading to Malda Court. The exact cause of the incident—whether an accident or suicide—is still under investigation.
