A nighttime fire destroyed three shops on Siliguri’s Station Feeder Road, creating panic in the area.

The fire affected one furniture shop and two biryani shops, all of which were quickly burned down. Locals alerted the Siliguri Metropolitan Police’s Khalpara outpost and firefighters, who arrived and managed to control the flames. The cause is still under investigation, but firefighters suspect it started in one of the biryani shops. Local councilor Sikta De Basu Roy visited the site this morning.
