Adivasi community blocks road with bows and arrows in protest.

A social media post by TMC leader Krishna Das, criticizing Adivasi cultural events in Jalpaiguri’s Karla Valley tea garden, sparked outrage among tea garden workers. In response, protesters gathered on NH31-D near Assam More, blocking the road with bows, arrows, and drums, and demanded an apology from Das. The protest began at 10 a.m., halting long-distance vehicles and causing some travel disruptions. Police were present at the scene. Efforts to contact Krishna Das for a response went unanswered.
