BSF APPREHENDS 01 BANGLADESHI NATIONAL FROM INDO-BANGLADESH INTERNATIONAL BORDER

The Border Security Force (BSF) North Bengal Frontier apprehended a Bangladeshi national while he was attempting to cross the international border illegally in the area of Raiganj sector. The individual was arrested on 07th April 2025 at approximately 1815 hrs. 

The suspect is identified as Damil Kumar Rai (33 Yrs) S/o Kalipado Ray, R/o Vill-Brahmanpara, PO-Kayampur, PS-Khansama, Distt- Dinajpur (Bangladesh). On search, Bangladeshi currency 1257 TAKA was recovered from his possession.

Apprehended Bangladeshi national alongwith seized BD currency was handed over to BGB through a flag meeting as a goodwill gesture.

BSF reiterates its commitment to maintaining the sanctity of India's borders and ensuring the security of the nation and to prevent illegal border crossings and protect against cross-border criminal activities.
