Chandrima Bhattacharya leads a rally against partition of Bengal
SILIGURI
8 DECEMBER
The Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress women wing took out a protest rally led by state health minister Chandrima Bhattacharya by blowing conch shells protesting against the state bifurcation of Bengal. Bhattacharya maintained that talks of division are being done to stay highlighted in the media and further called for unity against the partition of Bengal.
The protest rally was taken out from Sevoke more in Siliguri and concluded at Hasmi Chowk on Thursday.
Bhattacharya maintained that the protest rally was organised to send a message to stay united.
" Through the rally we want to give a message to stay away from wrong efforts to the ones who support the partition of Bengal. The rally was a message to those talking about division of Bengal. Trinamul will never allow the division of Bengal. Such things are being done to remain in the newspapers", said Bhattacharya.
