Darjeeling police defeated Academy Knights Sikkim by 3-2 in penalty shootout

On January 9, 2024, during the 17th Sukna Gold Cup football tournament organized by Sukna Games and Sports  Association with the support of  Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (GTA), a match unfolded between Darjeeling Police and Academy Knights Sikkim. Despite both teams failing to score in regular time, a 10-minute extra was given with  no change in the score. Eventually, in the tiebreaker penalty shootout, Darjeeling Police won with a final score of 3 against Academy Knights' 2. Dheeraj BK, the skilled goalkeeper from Darjeeling Police, was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
