I will not rest,till I ensure justice for the people of my punya Karma Bhumi-Raju Bista

I consider a great honour that Hon'ble PM Modi ji, Hon'ble HM Amit Shah ji, Hon'ble BJP  National  President JP Nadda ji, Hon'ble BJP Nat Gen Sec (org) BL Santhosh ji and Central and State leadership have reposed their faith in me for the second time to represent our party from the prestigious Darjeeling L.S seat.

I am most grateful to the people of Darjeeling constituency. It is because of their love, blessings and trust, and the unflinching support from Darjeeling and Siliguri BJP leaders and karyakartas that empowers and enables me to continue the good work we have begun, for transforming our region.

My nomination for the second time as the candidate of the world's largest political party, showcases continuity of BJP support and commitment to our issues, our land and our people. It is an endorsement by our party leadership of their commitment towards ensuring justice for the people of our Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri, Terai and Dooars region. 

In the first five years, I have set up a base for ensuring a solid foundation for our coming generations. In the next five years, you will see the rapid progress of our region. Be it on the infrastructural development front, or addressing the core political issues of our region. 

In the next five years, my priority will be to ensure constitutional solution for our region, and re-inclusion of 11 left-out Gorkha sub-tribes as Scheduled Tribes. In terms of social justice, my focus will be on ensuring Parja Patta Rights for every tea garden, cinchona garden, forest villages and DI Fund land residents. I will be working on, implementation of New Labour Codes, increase Wages for tea garden and cinchona garden workers, and to ascertain justice for Teesta Flood Victims.
 
For  health care, education and employment, my priority areas will be to establish central institutions, so that we can bring world class educational facilities to our region. To ensure that the youths won't have to travel to distant cities in search of livelihood, I will be working to establish IT and ITES SEZ in our constituency. My focus will also be on providing skill training to the youths, so that they can not only find meaningful livelihood, but also have the ability to create jobs. Empowerment of Women, and enabling their greater participation in economic activities through SHGs, and other cooperative organisations will be among my top priority. I will also work to develop our region as a hub of Medical Excellence - by establishing Medical colleges, and alternative health centers, and an AIIMS in our  region. I will be working to promote Tourism in our Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri and Terai region internationally, and develop our region as a hub of medical and spiritual tourism. To promote trade, commerce and business, I will be working to ease the movement between our neighbouring states and nations by faster development of critical infrastructure, and speeding up cross-border trade protocols. 

One of my dream projects is to develop Mahananda and Balason Riverfront to make them tourist attractions. I will also be working to initiate scientific Solid Waste Management, drainage, and provisioning of sewerage treatment facilities in all municipalities in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Mirik and Siliguri Municipal region. 

Priority development works include the completion of Highway 717A to Kalimpong, Bagdogra airport redevelopment, and elevated highway corridor from Balason to Sevoke. Construction of Siliguri Ring Road project, alternative to coronation bridge, and an alternative highway to Darjeeling, and Siliguri to Gorakhpur Expressway. Exploring the possibility of extending Sevoke-Rangpo Rail-line to Bijanbari and parts of Kalimpong as well. Establishment of Khelo India centers and the modernisation of stadiums to international standards. Connecting all villages in our region with road connectivity through the PMGSY and RIDF initiatives, and remote and difficult to access villages through Parvatmala Ropeway projects will be among my top priorities. 

I assure you all, I will not rest, till I ensure justice for the people of my punya Karma Bhumi. I am most hopeful that the people of Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency will bless me to serve them for the second term with an overwhelming majority.
