IPL 2025: Abhishek Sharma Shines As SRH Beat LSG, Knock Them Out Of Playoffs

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by six wickets and ended their hopes of reaching the IPL 2025 playoffs.

LSG batted first and scored 205/7. Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh hit half-centuries. Nicholas Pooran also played a quick knock, but SRH bowlers kept things under control.

In reply, Abhishek Sharma gave SRH a flying start. He scored a quick 50 in just 18 balls, hitting four sixes in a row. Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, and Kamindu Mendis also played well. SRH chased the target with 10 balls left.

LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who was bought for Rs 27 crore, failed to lead the team into the playoffs. LSG have now lost four of their last five matches. Digvesh Rathi was one of the few bright spots in their bowling.
