Kankai SC Beats Sankata FC, Reaches Milanmore Gold Cup Quarterfinals 

Kankai Sporting Club from Nepal defeated Sankata FC from Darjeeling to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the 11th Milanmore Gold Cup. The tournament is being organized by Madhur Milan Sangha at the Milanmore ground.  

The match, which was the seventh of the competition, was a thrilling contest with five goals scored in total. Rajesh Dahal scored the first goal for Kankai SC in the 22nd minute. However, Sankata FC quickly responded, with Narayan Raja equalizing in the 25th minute. The first half ended in a 1-1 tie.  

In the second half, Kankai SC regained the lead in the 52nd minute when Babin Boharo scored a fantastic free kick. Sankata FC leveled the score again in the 55th minute with a penalty converted by Narayan Chettri. The decisive moment came in the 66th minute when Heman Limbu scored the winning goal for Kankai SC, helping his team maintain a 3-2 lead until the final whistle.  

Rajesh Dahal was named the Man of the Match for his performance.
