Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week
Siliguri, November 28, 2024: North Bengal Science Centre, Siliguri, a unit of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, marked Vigilance Awareness Week on November 28, 2024, with a series of impactful events. Observed from October 28 to November 3, 2024, this year’s theme, "Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity" (सत्यनिष्ठा की संस्कृति से राष्ट्र की समृद्धि), underscored the Centre’s commitment to promoting integrity and accountability.
On November 28, a series of activities were conducted to bring the theme to life and engage the community, especially students. The day began with the Integrity Pledge, administered by Curator Ritabrata Biswas, Project Coordinator of North Bengal Science Centre, reinforcing a collective commitment to ethical practices. Following the pledge, students took part in a Slogan Writing Contest, expressing their thoughts on integrity through creative and inspiring messages.
The day also featured a Popular Lecture by Dr. S.S. Agarwal, Principal of Siliguri Model Senior Secondary School, who highlighted how integrity serves as a cornerstone for personal growth and national prosperity. An Open House Quiz on the theme further tested students’ knowledge and understanding of vigilance and transparency.
Prizes were awarded to outstanding participants, adding to the excitement and engagement. The day drew enthusiastic participation and appreciation from all attendees, who commended the Centre’s efforts to foster a culture of vigilance and integrity.
