SMUGGLERS ATTACK BSF SENTRY AGAIN, INJURE ONE JAWAN ON DUTY IN UTTAR DINAJPUR

In the early morning hours of 12th July 2025, BSF jawan on duty observed eight miscreants were trying to exfiltrate towards BD side. Immediately he challenged them and cautioned them but they did not pay any heed and encircled BSF Jawan with Dah, lathis and sharp edged weapons, In self defence BSF Jawan Fired non lethal munitions to disperse them but miscreants continued their move and attcked the Sentry. They injured the constable’s hand and hit the butt of his service rifle. Seeing iminent threat to his life, he fired live rounds from his service rifle in self-defense. On search of area one suspected BD national found dead during the exfiltration attempt, while others,it seems successfully exfiltrated through breaching of the Border fence.
