Siliguri Police Boost Security for Durga Puja with 2,000 Officers and Anti-Sabotage Team

To prepare for the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations, the Siliguri Metropolitan Police are implementing strong security measures across the city. More than 2,000 police officers will be stationed throughout the area to help ensure the festivities go smoothly.

The police have created an ‘Anti-Sabotage Team’ to monitor crowds at different puja pandals and prevent any unwanted incidents. If they notice any suspicious behavior, the team can take immediate action. Members of this team will be integrated into the crowds and will conduct surprise checks to deter criminal activities during the celebrations.

On Wednesday, Siliguri Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar held a press conference to present a Durga Puja guide map. During the event, DCP Tanmay Sarkar highlighted that the Anti-Sabotage Team is specifically designed to prevent crime and keep all city residents safe.
