Siliguri: Raju Bista campaigns, targets law and order issues
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista carried out a door-to-door campaign in Siliguri in support of BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh.
The campaign was held in Mahaveersthan area covering Ward No. 8 and 9, where he interacted with local residents along with party workers.
During the campaign, Raju Bista criticised the All India Trinamool Congress government, alleging deterioration in law and order in the state. He claimed that issues like extortion and syndicate activities are affecting business and investment in the region.
He said the BJP aims to improve law and order, attract investment and create employment opportunities in North Bengal, including Siliguri, Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars.
Raju Bista also referred to a recent case involving a minor girl in Siliguri and alleged delay in the arrest of the accused. He mentioned that Shankar Ghosh has suspended his campaign demanding action.
He appealed to voters to support BJP candidates in the upcoming elections for overall development and better governance.
