Syndicate rule will end after May 4 says Narendra Modi

“Syndicate rule will end after May 4,” says Narendra Modi

Narendra Modi on Saturday asserted that the alleged “syndicate rule” in West Bengal will come to an end after May 4, when the election results are declared.

Addressing a public rally, the Prime Minister criticised the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing it of promoting corruption, illegal activities, and a system controlled by local syndicates in various parts of the state.

He stated that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government in West Bengal, strict action will be taken against corruption, illegal mining, and political violence.

Modi further announced that a BJP-led government would bring out a “white paper” detailing alleged corruption during the past 15 years of TMC rule.

Highlighting welfare promises, he said that eligible women would receive financial assistance of ₹3,000 per month under BJP’s proposed schemes. He also assured that central welfare schemes would continue without interruption, while steps would be taken to eliminate middlemen and ensure transparency.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the people of West Bengal are seeking change, adding that the upcoming election results will mark a new beginning for the state.

The West Bengal Assembly elections are being held in multiple phases, with the results scheduled to be announced on May 4.
