The 10th  Edition of Milan More  GOLD CUP Football Tournament started

  The 10TH  edition of the prestigious Milan More Gold Cup Football Tournament organized by Madhur Milan Sangha, Milan More started from Wednesday .The opening match was played between Amukta Pariwar and Gorubathan F.C. at Milan More Play Ground .Today opening match was attended by Ex kernel Vidhyadhar Sharma as the Chief Guest while Tirtharaj Neupane,Vice President of  Vice Panchayat Kamal khadka ,Panchayat members and other dignitaries were also present as Special Guest.Before the start of the football match National Flag and Club Flag were hoisted and the National Anthem was sung.
Amukta Parivar defeated Gorubathan Football Club 3-0 in the opening match of the tournament  .Saurabh Tamang scored the first goal from the winning team in 7th  minute, Akash Sundas 58th and Karan Rai scored in  66th minute. Akash Sundas was selected as  player of the match.. Top  16 teams have been ranked in the 10th edition of the tournament. Two semifinals of the tournament will be held on 11th and 12th January.  The final will be played on 14th January. The team who will be champion in the tournament will be awarded cash prize of Rs 2 lakh along with attractive trophy ( in memory of  late Rudra Lal Adhikari &late Krishna Kumari Bhandari ). Secretary ,Dipendra Singh Chhetri has informed that the team who is running up will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with attractive trophy ( in memory of late  Sovan Singh Kherwar and  late Tulsi Prasad Sharma ). Now United FC Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri Police will clash in the match to be played on Thursday i.e. tomorrow
