Airforce sergeant kills himself

A member of the defence forces committed suicide by shooting himself with service revolver on Monday. 

The deceased has been identified as Sgt Surujit Mehra of the Indian Airforce . He was a resident of Chamoli in Uttarakhand. 

According to the sources  , the deceased shot him self  with his service revolver at his quarter’s toilet  in Bagdogra on Monday morning. 

He was having some family issues that might have instigated him to shoot him self , said sources.

Siliguri Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Akhilesh Chaturvedi said,” The airforce handed the case to Bagdogra police . The police has sent the body for post-mortem at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). Investigations has bee initiated to the trace the exact sequence of events”. (EoM)
