Chaos at Jangipur Specialty Hospital: Staff Tear Visitor Pass, Relatives and Media Face Harassment

In Jangipur Super Specialty Hospital, there are allegations of misconduct by hospital staff. Relatives of a patient were reportedly harassed when they went to visit the patient. On Wednesday, the situation heated up at the hospital premises when the hospital staff tore up the visitor's pass issued to the patient's relatives.

It is reported that a pregnant woman named Hasima Khatun from Rajgram, Birbhum, is admitted to the hospital. The relatives showed the visitor's pass issued by the hospital to visit the patient. However, since the pass referred to the patient by her nickname, Siuti Khatun, instead of her formal name, Hasima Khatun, the staff tore up the pass. This led to an argument and threats of being sent to jail, according to the patient's relatives. Furthermore, media personnel faced obstruction when attempting to photograph the incident.
