Avesh Khan played a key role in helping Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) win a close match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by just 2 runs. The match was held in Jaipur.

Rajasthan Royals were chasing a target of 181 runs but managed only 178/5 in their 20 overs.

Avesh Khan took three important wickets in the last two overs — Yashasvi Jaiswal (74), Riyan Parag, and Shimron Hetmyer. His excellent bowling stopped RR from winning in the final over.

Despite a strong start by Jaiswal and support from Parag and Hetmyer, RR failed to finish the game. Avesh defended 9 runs in the last over and also took a catch off the final ball, though he got injured.
