In a thrilling IPL 2025 match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by just 2 runs. With this win, RCB moved to the top of the points table with 16 points from 11 matches.
RCB batted first and scored 213 for 5. Virat Kohli hit 62 runs off 33 balls with 5 sixes and 5 fours. Jacob Bethell scored 55 runs from 33 balls, and Romario Shepherd smashed 53* off just 14 balls, including six sixes.
In reply, CSK reached 211 for 5 in 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre played a brilliant knock of 94 runs from 48 balls, and Ravindra Jadeja stayed not out on 77 from 45 balls. CSK needed 4 runs on the last ball, but RCB bowler Yash Dayal gave only 1 run.
RCB's fielders dropped two catches, and their captain Rajat Patidar left the field after an injury. Virat Kohli then led the team for the rest of the match.
