SPARK: CME on Burns, First time in North Bengal 

For the first time,the  Department of Plastic Surgery,Anandaloke Multispeciality Hospital and Medical Education Unit of North Bengal Medical College under the guidance of National Academy of Burns, India organised a Conference and Workshop on the Awareness, Prevention and Treatment of Burns at North Bengal Medical College, Darjeeling.

The conference was attended by 540 doctors , nursing staff and paramedics from North Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar to learn about the technique of burn  care management and the recent updates of burn treatment.

Organising Secretary Dr. Neela Bhattacharya said that the registration charges for the conference were kept very low so that the maximum number of burn care professionals can attend this conference and make a change in the burn management in this region.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr Anant Sinha, President of National Academy of Burns India along with Dr Bidyut K Goswami , Acting Principal NBMCH, Dr Sanjay Mallik, MSVP, NBMCH , Dr Sandip Sengupta, Dean of Student Affairs, NBMCH , Dr Surupa Roy and Dr A Pramanik from Ananadaloke  Multispeciality Hospital.

There were expert guest faculty Dr Seema Rekha Devi from Gauhati, Dr Veena Singh from AIIMS, Patna. Plastic surgeons Dr.Choden Norbu from Sikkim, Dr. Md. Sohaib Akhtar and Dr. Amit Kr Chaudhary from Siliguri also participated as faculty. 
This CME was also recognised by the West Bengal Medical Council and awarded 3 CME points for attendance.
