The Matigara police have arrested 22-year-old Paritosh Barman from Balason on charges of sexually harassing a 3.5-year-old girl.

Reports say Barman lured the girl out of her house by promising to play with her. At the time, no one else was at Barman's home, and he allegedly took advantage of this to harass the child.

The girl later told her family about the incident. They then filed a complaint at the Matigara police station. The child was examined medically, and the police arrested Barman based on the complaint. Barman was presented in Siliguri court on Wednesday, and the investigation is ongoing.
